Galeotti passed the research doctorate exam at the University of Hamburg in the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Natural Sciences, Department of Mathematics.

Galeotti defended the results of his thesis, “The theory of generalized real numbers and other topics in logic”, in front of the examining committee. He obtained the final mark of “with distinction (summa cum laude)” which is the maximum grade achievable.

The committee has awarded the thesis “with distinction (summa cum laude)” and the oral defense “very good (magna cum laude), 1.0”.

Professor Benedikt Löwe, an international renowned mathematicians, was Galeotti’s supervisor for the thesis.

Lorenzo Galeotti teaches mathematical logic at the Amsterdam University College.
